I read this book in one sitting. I was engrossed in it and the emotions it raised have stayed with me long after I finished. In our interview with Jenny Alexander earlier in the year, we learnt it was a very personal book. It was initially released to coincide with World Suicide Prevention day with the aim of writing about suicide and depression to a young adult audience. In my opinion, this is a book that moves across age constraints and would speak to adults too.

Helpful both for young people and anyone connected to them in a family or professional way. Whilst it is labelled as being about suicide I think many of the feelings are the same for any bereaved person so I think it would have a wider appeal…

I could relate to the situation since my older sister and I are around Seb’s and Jess’ ages and it made me see how lucky I am to have her in my life. Losing a sibling must be terrifying, and moving on one of the hardest things to do… If I had to summarise this book with just one word, it would be beautiful…
