My first book was published in 1993 and since then I’ve written about 150 books for children and adults.

My children’s non-fiction includes thirteen funny self-help books on topics such as bullying, self-esteem, happiness, stress, green living and effective learning.

My children’s fiction, on similar themes, includes Blue Peter Book Club choice, How to Get What You Want, by Peony Pinker and Red House Children’s Book Awards Highly Commended, Car-Mad Jack.

My Young Adult novel about sibling suicide, Drift, is recommended by the UK’s largest grief counselling organisation, Cruse Bereavement Care.

For adults, as well as books, I’ve written scores of magazine articles for local and national publications including Devon Life, Junior Education, Children and Young People Now, Mslexia, Writers’ Forum, The Author and Writing Magazine, where I have a monthly free-range writing column.

I love writing about writing
