I love meeting people, talking about writing and teaching creative workshops, so do drop me a line if you think I might fit the bill for your writing-related event.
This writing life
Monday January 27th, 18.00-19.00, Kirkwall Library, Orkney.
I’ve had an unusual writing career, insofar that I’ve written all sorts of fiction and non-fiction books for readers of all ages, worked with many traditional agents and publishers and, more recently, become a hybrid author, doing some indie publishing alongside. I’ve written loads of magazine articles too, and have a regular column in Writing Magazine.
In this informal talk, I’ll tell the story of how and why I became this ‘free-range writer’, including plenty of time to answer questions about my own journey and the writing life in general.
Free-Range Writing: talks and workshops
I do talks and workshops on my travels around the UK to celebrate my book Free-Range Writing: 75 Forays For The Wild Writer’s Soul and my ‘Free-range writing through the year’ column in Writing Magazine.
They’re suitable for anyone who’s interested in writing, from complete beginners to published authors, so do get in touch if you would like to host one at your bookshop, library or writing group.
